Sol Calyx No. 01 - Terracotta Decorative Vase
Sol Calyx No. 01 feels somewhere between an ancient object and a small sculptural piece.
The terracotta surface is intentionally raw and heavily textured, moving through chalky sand, muted clay and deeper earthy brown tones. Fine pitting, irregular markings and areas of abrasion remain visible across the body, giving the finish a naturally weathered, almost excavated character.
At its centre, the imperfect solar relief appears partially softened by the surrounding texture as though the symbol has slowly worn into the vessel with time rather than simply been applied to it.
The generous flared rim contrasts beautifully with the rounded, tapering base, giving this small piece a surprisingly strong architectural presence.
