Stria No. 25. - Terracotta Decorative Vase
A terracotta vase shaped as much by time as by hand. Its surface is wrapped in fine horizontal grooves, softened and interrupted by layers of natural wear. Up close, the finish reveals a beautiful mix of chalky beige, warm clay, muted brown and faint earthy traces, with areas where the surface has gently chipped away to expose what sits beneath.
Small pits, rough patches and irregular markings give the piece an almost excavated quality as though it has been weathered, buried, handled and rediscovered over many years. Nothing feels uniform, and that is precisely where its character comes from.
The simple form keeps it contemporary, while the aged surface gives it the soul of an old found object.
